2005-present: William Paterson University    

Wayne, NJ Adjunct Professor

-Currently teaching Foundry, 3D design, Sculpture I and Figurative Sculpture and have experience teaching the following:

fundamentals of drawing, life drawing, mixed media and new forms

-Designed new course-Foundry, casting metal sculpture both at undergraduate and graduate level.

-Organized the first annual collaborative iron symposium at William Paterson University working with Ramapo College of NJ, Buffalo State College and working professionals in the field.

Brought in guest lecturers from foundries, mold makers and professional artists detailing their processes.

-Invited visiting artists that gave studio critiques to students

-Students gain experience casting aluminum, bronze and iron

-Built new equipment to supplement facilities using lost wax method introducing ceramic shell process to program.

-Introducing processes: resin sand mold, ceramic shell, direct wax modeling and direct burnouts

-Currently curating an exhibit featuring  artwork from all participating institutions created from this pour-exhibition-

 

1999-Present: Six Trees Studios,

-Started company in 1999 sculpting and casting architectural elements working directly with architectural and design firm

-Scenic Design-Designing and implementing stage sets for local dance companies as well as professional Off Broadway Theater.

-December 2005 production of Countdown-Theater for a New Audience

-Created cast iron façade for historically sensitive renovation

-Designed/sculpted and cast bronze staircase and bar front in Chelsea featured on cover  Elle Décor-January 2001 issue (3D Architects)

   Service expanded to include art consulting in 2000

Negotiated contracts to handle artwork on rotating basis for various realty management companies.

Responsibilities included acquisition of new accounts, building a base of regional artists interested in exhibiting in this venue

-October 2008 Commissioned to create two 7’x8” figurative bas relief for Wagaraw Reservation in Texas.

-May 2007 Venice Biennale-assistant to Nancy Spero in installation of her piece “Take No Prisoners Maypole” in Venice-

Worked directly under lead architect Giampaolo Bigarello assisting on site with installation in the Italian Pavilion.
