The Eleanor Roosevelt Scholarship presented by the Sculptors Guild aims to encourage and support students working towards their career in sculpture.
The Sculptors Guild also offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be included in at least one exhibition alongside Sculptor Guild members.
Eligibility:
Open to all current junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States focusing in the field of sculpture.
Award:
$1,500 — non-renewable scholarship
Application Timeline (scholarships given for Fall ’25 and Spring ’26):
Deadline: May 1st, 2025 for Fall 2025, notification by July 31st 2025
Deadline: October 1st, 2025 for Spring 2026, notification by December 29th 2025
Interested applicants may only apply for one of the deadlines per calendar year.
All applicants must include the following:
1) Your Resume, including any awards and exhibitions plus your personal information and what university you are attending (please include your year of expected graduation). Please include full name, address, phone contact, email, include any social media relevant to your application.
2) Two Letters of recommendation from at least one from a professor.
3) Include an essay expressing the inherent meaning and intent behind your art.
4) Prepare a portfolio of original work demonstrating your best. Please send at least 8 images and maximum of 12 art samples of your work with detailed description.
5) Provide proof of enrollment demonstrating payment of current semester — either Fall or Spring semester according to your application.
